The imperative to restore Delta State and Anioma to their former glory and rightful pride of place is a patriotic and sacred duty that all Deltans must undertake, regardless of political affiliation. This was the resounding message from Hon. (Dr) Chibuogwu Gbandi as he addressed the ADC Delta State stakeholders in Asaba. The delegation, led by both H.E. Chukwuka Monye, ADC Presidential Aspirant 2023, and Hon. Dr. Kenneth Chibuogwu Gbandi, Deputy National Chairman and senatorial candidate for Delta North 2023, gathered at the ADC Delta State secretariat to meet with the ADC leadership and all the candidates for the upcoming local elections.

During the meeting, Hon. Gbandi highlighted the unprecedented socio-economic challenges facing Nigerians. He pointed to the pervasive bad leadership that has led to widespread hunger, insecurity, and high costs of commodities and services, further aggravated by inflation. These issues have plunged many into despair, tempting them to surrender to the ‘hunger game.’ Gbandi urged the people not to forget the causes of their hardships—unemployment, severe hunger, school dropouts, robbery, and other criminal activities—all of which stem from poor economic policies by the political elite.

The ADC, he stated, is committed to fostering a new generation of selfless servant leaders dedicated to resetting and repositioning Nigeria for greatness, starting from the grassroots level. He expressed confidence in the Delta State Governor’s sincerity and intentions to ensure electoral integrity, advocating for free and fair elections where the people’s voices are truly heard without manipulation.

H.E. Chukwuka Monye, in his address, emphasized that the purpose of the meeting was to demonstrate support and faith in the ADC candidates and the party’s vision for the state. He highlighted the importance of grassroots engagement and the transformational leadership that ADC aims to bring. Both Monye and Gbandi pledged their unwavering support for the candidates, underscoring the party’s dedication to bringing positive change to Delta State.

The meeting underscored a shared commitment to uplifting Delta State and Anioma, setting the stage for a new era of responsible governance. With the support of the ADC leadership, the local government candidates are poised to lead with integrity and vision, working towards the collective prosperity of their communities.
