Dear Senator Mbata,
I extend my warmest congratulations to you on your recent election as President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide. As you begin your tenure, I would like to bring to your attention several pressing issues that require your urgent consideration.
Key Challenges Facing Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State Chapter
- Leadership Crisis: The Lagos State Ohanaeze Ndigbo chapter is currently plagued by a leadership crisis, with one officially , genuinely and accepted elected president in the person of chief Sunday Osai whom I am sure must be included in the documents handed over to you. And another chief Solomon Aguene as president by court. Chief Solomon has finished his tenure but claims of another mandate from court there by creating unnecessary problem.
. I implore you to work towards resolving this issue amicably as your predisesor could not finalize it. - Constitutional Violations: Some prominent members of Ohanaeze Lagos are allegedly involved in politics, contravening the organization’s constitution. I urge you to address this issue and ensure that all members adhere to the constitution.
- Marginalization: The failure to implement alphabetical rotation of the presidency in Lagos State Ohanaeze Ndigbo chapter has led to marginalization of some states there by fueling disunity. I recommend introducing this rotation to prevent further marginalization otherwise the system will turn to AKA KA AKA GA AGBAJI AKA. IMA NKEA IMA NKEOZO.
- Eze Ndigbo Title Issue: The proliferation of Eze Ndigbo titles has become a source of disgrace to NDI IGBO and annoyance for indigenous people. I suggest reviewing this issue and finding a lasting solution. If not by next ten years 10% of our population in Lagos will become EZE.
- Ohanaeze Lagos’ Participation in Politics: Ohanaeze Lagos’ involvement in politics has deviated from its socio-cultural objectives. I advise realigning their participation to align with the organization’s core values.

I urge you to address these pressing issues and work towards uniting the Igbos worldwide, bringing peace, and fostering home development. Aku rue uno amaru onye kparu ya’.
Your leadership has the potential to usher in a new era of prosperity and growth for Ndigbo.
I wish you blessings and Godly wisdom in your leadership.
