In 2022, Diaspora Sports & Medical outreach was instituted under the initiative of Hon. Since then, Diaspora Inter-community Tournaments and Cup-Winners Challenge Cup has been an annual event during the Easter and Christmas period respectively, bringing the respective winners of inter-community tournaments for the Cup-Winners Challenge Cup (Champions Cup).

The Tournament is also utilized to promote peace and reconciliation in conflict-affected areas leveraging the spirit of the seasons, that is most treasured seasons in Nigeria and Nigerians in the Diaspora, when many Nigerians travel back to their various communities to celebrate with their loved ones. Organizing friendly matches, sports diplomacy initiatives, and inter-community tournaments brings people and old friends from different backgrounds together, fostering dialogue, peace, and understanding.

The event is also a Talent scouting opportunity.
